$80 Aveda Giveaway *Updated*

by Soliloquy on July 28, 2008

It’s that time again! And What better way to mark my 200th post?! (Y’all are probably so sick of me already!)

So, what is behind Door #70?!

A $50 gift certificate from Aveda (to be used toward product or services at an Aveda store or salon)….. a travel size facial moisturizer that I swear by AND my personal signature Aveda perfume, valued at over $80!!!!

I KNOW……

I’m going to need therapy again to part with it.

I love all things Aveda. One of my favorite memories is walking into an Aveda store with Spin. We were holding hands and he said, “Mmm, it smells like you in here.”

Awwwww…… sweet Spin. Well, you can’t have him, but you can enter to win my favorite scents!

Obviously – the point of these giveaways is to increase traffic – find new blogs to love – make new friends, right?

I’ve compiled a few of my most popular posts, so you can get a small sampling of who Soliloquy is:

Humiliated. My most embarrassing moment – maybe anyone’s most embarrassing moment – and the post that has received the most comments on my blog. So many readers felt my pain.

Kissed by a Cowboy. (The Naked Cowboy.) Because you really should know how classy I am.

An introduction to my Damn Dogs, my terrible illustrations and the night I saved my dog’s life.

An Allegory. A recent unfortunate struggle I’ve faced. I couldn’t believe how many of my readers could relate. Girls are mean. Even big girls.

And if none of those posts keep you coming back, at least check in with me on August 22nd, when I do the ultimate product review undergo some, ahem – elective surgery…. and pray to the good Lawd that I don’t end up looking like this:

DONE READING ALREADY??

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment with feedback about my blog.

***Don’t just enter – be constructive!! I’d love to know what you already love or would love to see at She Just Had To Say It.***

One entry per reader.

For a second entry, post my button on your blog. (I know. Shameless. I’ve got my marketing on, but that’s what we’re here for, right?!)

To get the code, click on the Link to Me “She Just Had To Say It” button in my sidebar. Be sure to tell me in your comment that you’re linking to me. I’ll come visit. I promise!

**** Update: If you REALLY want to be sweet, Stumble something on my blog… I’ll give you another chance to win, if you leave in my comments that you Stumbled your favorite post.****

Oh, and if you don’t have a blog, you can still enter. Just make sure you leave an email address so I can contact you should you win.

The giveaway is open to residents of the contiguous 48 states. I will cover shipping.

A winner will be chosen at noon on Friday, August 1, 2008 using an online Random Integer Generator.

Good luck! I’m off to enter as many giveaways find as many new blogs to love as I can!

I loved your Allegory post, I was rooting for Transparency all the way, Vainglory has lots to learn . . .
I tried to link your button, but it kept showing up as broken on my sidebar, don’t know why.

I love the header to your site. All things vintage looking at fab in my book. Plus, after looking around a little you’re hilarious. Good luck with your surgery. I would hope you don’t turn out looking like that pic :P

I love Aveda too! I really enjoyed reading some of your posts and am excited to come back!

Colleen July 30, 2008 at 8:28 pm

I don’t think I have read a more open blog. I was laughing out loud and had to show my husband the story about your most embarrassing moment. I think your blog probably gives us a true portrait of you. Isn’t that what you want? Your blog is what you want it to be and not what others tell you it should be. It’s great!

Thanks for the giveaway!

Emily July 30, 2008 at 8:30 pm

I’m not sure which sounds like more fun, winning these fabulous aveda products or reading the rest of your blog posts! The highlights you let us in on were fantastic! Funny, open and heart-warming all at the same time!

I like your style of writing, you aren’t shy, don’t pull any punches and tell it like it is. I’ve bookmarked your blog to come back and read it later, when I can sit back with a cold drink and savor the experience, drinking it all in. (the drink and the posts, I can multitask!) Wishing you a wonderful week!

Susan July 30, 2008 at 10:33 pm

Your writing style is very interesting. In a good way. Blunt. And kind of choppy. Refreshingly so. (I thought I would try it out on my comment–turns out it’s fun to write this way!) Thanks for the giveaway. A lot.

Tassia July 30, 2008 at 10:41 pm

Oh, how I would love to try the Aveda salon out (we have 2 or 3 in town). My hairdresser moved to Arkansas of all places and I need my salon fix! I’d love to win this! Your blog is cracking me up. Off to read more….

Sandy Y July 30, 2008 at 10:45 pm

Tamara Bennington July 30, 2008 at 10:46 pm

I think the picture with the woman in her bikini looks rediculous who is she kidding? That’s too funny and I hope your surgery goes great.

Naomi July 30, 2008 at 11:02 pm

Aveda humectant pomade makes me swoon!

And I wish I was a small B again. Nursing two kids has definitely made my cup runneth over but I would love for my boobs to be smaller than my head again someday.

You had me at “elective surgery” LOL. I don’t believe I have come across your blog before but I am adding it to my faves now so I can come back and read about your experience. I was like…”is that her? well, I hope they’re fixing her boobs” LOL. Glad you don’t want to end up looking like that, because it looks like she had some elective surgery just to look like that :)
