Only a few people know I blog and who I really am. I’m going to keep it that way. Although I DID erase some questionable posts about the PU….just covering myself. It does help if you have a friend you can talk to about blogging or is a fellow blogger. That is kinda your “outlet”.

Yes, it really helps me in life sometimes that you are real and not my secret bfls. I dont know how I would get through many o’ days like that. Love the code by the way. I get it. I got fried on the beach today by the way.

Can you tell that I had a few fruity beachy drinks on the beach today? I can! Gosh, I suck at keeping that under wraps.

I’m in the same spot. Now, my mom and 2 or 3 friends know, but nobody that lives in my town knows. And that is so hard. But a really smart blogger told me to hold firm…she reminded me that once it is out there you can’t take it back.

For me, it IS a place to be authentic, but I don’t think some people (ie, my family) is really ready to know all the facets of my life. I don’t keep mine private to protect me – I do it for them. Just like I don’t meet someone for the first time and say “Here is everything I think you should know about me”. You would end up being my only friend, Soliloquy. (and I thank you for that, really, I do)

My husband still brings up that I’d been blogging for about 6 months before he knew.

“Coming out” to some trusted friends that you know will keep the secret might be good for you. I have this same secret, but it is getting out more and more. It’s funny though-a few of those that I’ve told and want to read and comment don’t.

It does make you be a little more careful on what you write, though, and that is hard sometimes when this starts as a place to vent. There are friends that I haven’t told because of a post about them buried in my archives!

Um, maybe go back and delete really offensive posts about family members or friends first. I think God will allow that to save the drama.

But then- start mentioning it to people. You will feel a sense of relief. Secrets are bad…..trust me

I know it is so weird! But I have a slightly different situation since I have made my blog public to my friends and family. But let’s be honest…I use all my good stories on my blog so here I am in public launching myself into a really good story that was already stated on my blog thinking….have they read it? Am I repeating myself? Because I have found most people are very secretive about telling me what and when they read…so weird!

But…there are really good points to NOT making your blog public. I am restricted in what I can write because my mommy reads my blog and I don’t want to smack down anyone I know in real life because that is mean.

Wouldn’t it be easier if we just all lived in the same town and could get together in real life?
