I am so humbled.
Over and over again I am humbled through this blog. Mostly, by kind comments – but today was different.
(sigh)
Have I ever told you how much I love blogging? No?
Well, I do.
Today, I got my first bloggy gift in the mail. From one of YOU. And I was moved to tears.
Now. I had been expecting half of it. I won a little self-medicating prize on account of my most Humiliating moment. EVER. So, when the package showed up, I smiled and anticipated a TGIFriday’s gift card (to be used at the bar only) – but I wondered about the unexpected weight of the package.
Upon opening it, I found this:
WITH A NOTE THAT READ:
Soliloquy – Enjoy a drink at the bar on me. I am including a copy of a book another blogger sent me a few months ago. Just thought you might be a little encouraged to know there are so many sister-friends facing the same(ish) things you are. Hope you don’t mind.

Well, don’t that just beat all. See? Not all girls are mean girls!
Knowing me well enough to be aware of a recent struggle I’d faced, Straight Shooter thought enough of me to send a book that she knew would be meaningful to me.
I was so touched that someone would pay it forward on my behalf in that way!
In that vein, I want to exhort each and every one of you who daily affirm one another via comments. Not just on my blog – but on each others’ as well.
The Word says:
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
and
“Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” – Hebrews 3:13.
Never underestimate the power you have to encourage one another – and let us keep on until the day of Christ!
