14 Unauthorized Days of the Christmas Season = GIFTS!

by Soliloquy on November 9, 2008

I really love each and every comment you all choose to grace me with, but every once in a while one of you will say something absolutely brilliant!

Such was the case tonight in response to My Husband, The Freak.

Ashley had this to say:

“Tell him you want a present every day til Christmas once decorations start going up. Good presents. It’s like a new rule or something. This could be very good for you (and if you don’t want the presents, just fwd them on to me …I’ll save you from them. Just for you.)”

Well, Ashley. I took your advice and instituted that very rule.

And I’m sorry, but I think I’ll keep them. Gifts are my love language.

What’s more….. in an attempt to rectify his egregious offense against me, Spin has agreed to accept the challenge. (Maybe because he knows GIFTS are my love language – but more likely as a way to claw his way back into bed my good graces.)

Whatever the case – GIFTS!!! Goody!!

And even better? He’s already TWO DAYS BEHIND!!!

Since the tree technically went up 14 days before it was authorized, that is the time frame I have chosen to institute.

(I’m gracious that way.)

What??? Considering there were 48 days until Christmas from November 8th, I’d say I’m letting him off easy by only requiring 14 offerings.

I won’t even make him wrap them.

Stay tuned!

You should have SOOO made him give you gifts all the way until Christmas. Sometimes I wish my husband was a freak so I could get presents using my sneaky ways…I mean, charm. :D

It’s like the Twelve Days of Christmas… plus two days!

Do ya think he’ll get you 5 golden rings? Because the 9 ladies dancing might be better suited as a gift for HIM.

I’m just saying…

Than you for the laugh, this has brought to light there are men out there that don’t complain about Christmas and everything that it entails.

14 days of gifts???? What????

I thought you were giving ME a gift by ending my 14-day banishment to “Exile Island”…isn’t that what you said????

You’ve got to stop asking me important questions while I’m watching football.

Gift #1 — the lights and tree are up…and you didn’t have to lift a finger.

Soliloquy -

Yeah, I know you think I missed the point on the first go-round. Allow me to now explain – my love language is acts of service. That’s why landed a little on Spin’s side even though the tree was up 14 days early. *However* – not a bad come-back – especially since he’s in agreement! So…

Spin – 1
Soliloquy – 1.5

Wow. You go girl.

BTW, glad you’re going to participate in “Dare to Wear,” but am officially scared since you have those great boobs and all and you did post pictures of them in all their glory (in a tank). Try not to show us all up with your gorgeousness.

Seriously…Can I really borrow Spin? Seriously…

Does he give lessons to other husbands about ACTUALLY lifting a finger around the house? Seriously…

He can consider it one of his gifts.
