Every Kind of Happy

by Soliloquy on November 7, 2008

Look what came out TODAY!

I don’t care what the state of my mind circumstances are, this little red cup restores my joy.

Everything tastes better in this little red cup.  Life is brighter with this little red cup in my hand.  All is right in the world because of this little red cup.

Unfortunately, my damn dog thinks so too.  Something about the red cups appeal to her. (And before you try to tell me dogs are color blind – let me tell YOU that dogs can tell a difference between white and red.  I home school.  Don’t mess with me.)

Spree couldn’t care less about a peppermint mocha in a white cup, but like her momma, something about the red cup just reduces her to a covetous mess.  I honestly cannot tell you how many peppermint mochas in a red cup that dog has pulled down and stolen consumed. Too many.

So I’m nursing and guarding my little peppermint mocha in a red cup and life is every kind of happy.

(Until it’s gone. Then all bets are off.)

Oh, I LOVE the peppermint mocha! Perhaps I will drag the kids out for some fresh air today (everyone’s sick – we’d rather just stay in bed all day…).

I went to Starbucks on Wednesday and have to admit I was giddy when I saw my Misto coming to me in the holiday cup! I love them too! I think it reminds me of Christmas and all of the Peppermint Mochas I, too, consume during that time! Ahhh….. the red cup.

did you know that my favorite time of year (in america) is the season of red cups? it is. it used to be the month between thanksgiving and christmas. but then starbucks went and launched the red cups a few years ago and that became the new start of my favorite time of year.

too bad the closest one is an ocean away. sigh.

Try putting the red cup inside a white cup when the dog isn’t looking. YOU will know that it’s still in the red cup, but he will just see the white cup.

I had holiday Caribou yesterday! It put me a in a MOOD. For some strange reason, I have lifted my self-imposed ban of Christmas music before Thanksgiving. I’m going all in on holidays this year. Bring on the FESTIVITY.

Did you see my post from a few weeks ago, when I mourned the closing of my neighborhood Starbucks.

Yeah.

I think I hate you.

I SAW that red cup in the grocery store not even an hour ago, I I thought….”OH, they have changed to the red cup…and today it snowed for the first time!” I didn’t even think about the peppermint mocha inside! I am so totally going to go get one tonight on my way out to a friends house! This just made my day too :)

And luckily for me I don’t have a coffee stealing dog…but I do have a 14 yr old who I have to watch!

Stopping by from allmediocre…love our blog. I will be back :)

You may not like me after this…but I must confess. I prefer Bean Street Coffee. In case you don’t know….that’s gas station coffee.
Give me a Bean Street French Vanilla Cappucino and I am in heaven. And they cost just over $1.
