To Love and Obey?

by Soliloquy on January 15, 2009

I had an unlikely protest to yesterday’s post.  From my husband.

His exact words? “I didn’t like it. I want you to blog.”

Well, okay then.

BUT.

Are you going to do the laundry, Spin?  (Oh wait.  He actually already does.)

Well then, what about the driving and the schooling and the cooking and the shopping?  Are you going to do the shopping, Spin?

I didn’t think so.

But, because I live to obey serve him, I will submit. And blog in stolen moments.

I spent four hours in the car today. Two trips to one school.  Four trips to another. It’s 6pm, time for dinner and Nina still needs help with TWO major projects, both due tomorrow.

I could cry.  But I am all the more sure about the applications for private Christian school next sitting in front of me.  All the more sure.

In the meantime, please, I beg of you.  Lower your expectations.  And forgive me for my sparse comments in return.  To date, there are 637 posts in my reader to get to.

Six hundred. Thirty. Seven.

I’m telling you, I could just cry.

But hey, at least it won’t be because I was beaten tonight by my master husband.

I think it’s convenient that when you blog about some of my “comments”…you seem to leave out certain…umm…details. Like the reason I want you to blog is because you make me laugh.

So, now you’re freaky internet friends think I’m gonna beat you for not blogging.

Nice…

I think this entire blog is a smear campaign against me…the wife beating, early Christmas tree erecting, cookie sheets in the dishwasher loading, Christmas gift mocking FREAK.

I’m on to you, Soliloquy…don’t think I’m not.

What’s next, are you going to tell your readers that I take down other people’s Christmas trees, too???

I had to do the dreaded “Mark All As Read” after our move and not having time or internet for nearly two weeks. I still feel like I missed something but at least now I am pretty much caught up!

Solioquy – I took a bloggy break for the holidays, promising all who I directed to my blog via our Christmas card that I would put up a yearly summary and photos after the holidays (to make up for the letter that everyone expected, but I did not write in 2008). I have yet to post as promised, and still feel no inclination to do so (though I did start another, sort-of-mostly-unrelated-to-the-first-one blog – go figure). I expect my mojo to return in, say, April…. We are far to busy with what has already become known as ’2009 – the year of endless doctor visits.’ So, no expectations from me, only joy to see your blog show up on my Blogger reading list. Wishing you the best!

Hey there, from the Frozen Tundra. It’s frozen. School canceled due to “extreme temperatures.” You know what it takes to do that in Minnesnowta.

Thanks, Spin. I appreciate you. I will take a small dose of Soliloquy over no Soliloquy.

Once again, you should keep him. And for those of us who know Spin, we know that you are not involved in a smear campaign. There would be no point – you’d just spin your way out of it. :)

As for you, dear Soliloquy, I am praying for you during this transition time. You will come out on top! And we will read and enjoy what we get from you in the interim.

Oh goody!

I have nothing else. I’ve been up since five am and I’m beat. Going to bed now. You’d better go get to your reading!

Don’t stress, girl! Remember, it’s a hobby, something you do for fun! I have to remind myself of that a lot, too. Because the more unread posts I have in my reader, the higher my blood pressure spikes. But it’s alright, life will still go on :)

Ok, I don’t feel so bad with only 210.

Just sayin’.

And with all that time in the car you should lobby for a sleek laptop that you can write on while waiting for said children, then all you’d have to do is post when you have internet connection. (I should use my own advice, yo.)

Hun, when you get that far behind, it’s time to hit the delete button and just start again. There is no way you will ever get caught up on all of those!
And…Spin does the laundry? Babe, you better hang on to that one!

First, to Spin – LOL, don’t be so insecure, man – we know that you won’t beat her….you do the laundry for pete’s sake! Any man who does the laundry is worth his weight in gold.

Now….Soliloquy, I feel your pain. I’ve been MIA again over at my blog – but my home looks FAB!!! And my kids are having a blast. But I don’t homeschool, and still have a hard time finding the time to blog. Can you believe it? It will work out, trust me sister.
