I got nothin’ tonight, but I wanted to stick to my New Year’s resolution.
No, not the one where I resolve to blog every day. I’m not that stupid motivated.
The one where I resolve to drink. more. wine.
You’ll be glad to know I am well on my way.
Today was, in many ways, like most others.
- I tried to cram too much into too small a time frame and have to go back to the post office, the liquor store and Target. Again. (Does anyone else have a new Target list started before they even get home from their most recent trip, like I do?)
- I was an idiot. (Similar to the above, although unfortunately completely unrelated.)
- I polished off a half bottle of wine by myself. Ibuprofen is an enabler.
Today was also categorically sucktastic.
But you know, whatev. That’s what wine is for. Or in my case, (Nina, EARMUFFS) a Chick-Fil-A chocolate milkshake AND a bottle of wine. But you know, whatev.
We all have those days, no? And hey – at least I had the benefit of knowing it was coming down the chute. ‘Cause that’s always fun. Knowing you’re in for a jacked-up day.
So, let’s just say today’s highlight????
My damned dog has hypothyroidism.
No, really. It was the best thing that happened today. For real.
That’s what wine thyroid hormonal medication is for.

Hmmm….I’m sure I’ve had days like this. Why does Target seem to be a “to do” on everyone’s list? I was there yesterday. And yes, I always forget something and realize it on the way home.

Sorry you had a bad day, but you were very funny. Is it true about your dog? Can that happen? Did he suddenly gain twenty pounds and start mass shedding?
I’ve got the hypo-thyroid thing and they check my blood every six months. I always hope and pray they’ll raise my medicine just so I can lose some weight. It’s not working for me.
