Yes. How do you think the term ‘woman’s prerogative’ was coined?

So the new rule for Valentine’s Day is -

Don’t get me anything you can give me in front of the kids.

Not to be confused with -

Don’t get me anything from Victoria’s Secret.

I guess maybe I should have specified beforehand, but that’s fair, right?

Poor Spin.  The guy can’t win for losing. (The caveat here being – gifts is no longer my love language.)

I mean the hot pink sweater/ scarf combo was really nice. But it was nothing compared to my own grand plans.

Oh dear reader, I had such grand plans.  Really, really grand.

Plans that started with this -

Annnnnd ended with sinus pain, congestion, a runny nose, low-grade temp and a Nyquil induced haze, which I hadn’t planned to, but you know I shared with Spin.

What can I say?

I’m a giver.

Sadly, it was a decidedly vanilla Valentine’s Day.  I’m not going to lie and say I don’t feel like I’ve let you down a little, dear reader.

But on the upside – who needs it to be Valentine’s Day for grand plans? Right?
